An easy 1 mile loop through forest and along the shoreline make this a great hike for all ages. Beautiful sunsets, perfect picnic spots and additional activities nearby make this top of our list of local adventures.
This beach, at the mouth of the Elwha River, is great for kids. My kiddos loved looking for rocks and driftwood and running on the sandy beach, running from waves.
A short hike takes you to a 50 ft. waterfall and picnic tables at the trailhead with views of the Elwha River, this makes a wonderful quick adventure!
Dungeness Wildlife Refuge
Sequim, WA
A paved 1 mile hike brings you to a beautiful beach and wildlife refuge. Unique rocks, driftwood forts and miles of beach make this a great place for the kids to explore!
